Ritz-Carlton’s second hotel in Dubai opened at the start of 2011 and offers a great location for visitors with business at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The 5-star hotel offers 341 rooms spread over 14 floors. Deluxe Rooms are a respectable 40 to 55 square metres in area and feature a choice of one King or two Queen Size beds, floor-to-ceiling windows, a sitting area, work desk, flat screen TV with a good selection of western and Arabic channels, both wired and wireless internet access, and safe. Mirrors in the marble en-suite bathroom can function as an additional TV display. Suites and long-stay serviced apartments (1 – 4 bedrooms) are also available.
Centre Cut is a steakhouse offering prime cuts of Australian and US beef. Lamb, lobster, and fish dishes also feature on the menu. Other places to eat and drink at the hotel include Blue Rain (Thai), Can Can (French), and the No 5 lounge and bar. In-room dining is available 24 hours a day.
Leisure facilities include both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa offering a wide range of face and body treatments, and an awesome round-the-clock fitness centre packed with the latest equipment.
Other facilities and services include a large ballroom, numerous meeting and conference rooms, and a fully-equipped business centre. The hotel also boasts a rather impressive courtyard waterfall.
The hotel is close to the Financial Centre Metro Station (also Emirates Towers Metro Station). The station is on the Red Line, offering a direct connection to Dubai Marina, Downtown Dubai, and Dubai International Airport. Guests with their own transport should note that the property offers complimentary valet parking.
The Dubai World Trade Centre (incorporating the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre) is less than 1 mile from the hotel. Emirates Towers (home to the exclusive Boulevard shopping mall) is even closer. Downtown Dubai lies around 1 mile west of the hotel and offers a wealth of attractions, shops and places to eat and drink (Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Fountain, Sega Republic, KidZania, Dubai Aquarium, and Souk Al Bahar).
