Activities
Lazing around the pool has historically been the activity of choice for most tourists visiting Dubai. However visitors are now beginning to take interest in a range of activities that is now expanding as rapidly as the city itself. Dubai is already well on its well to establishing itself as a major golf destination and will inevitably do so when Dubai Golf City opens in 2009.
Most hotels have beach or health clubs attached, offering gyms, tennis and squash courts, swimming pools and much more. Rather bizarrely the city also looks set become a major skiing and winter sports destination. Ski Dubai opened at the end of 2005, but even this monumental construction will be dwarfed by the Snowdome at Dubailand.
