Meydan Dubai

Opening in 2010, Meydan will be the new home of the Dubai World Cup, the world’s richest race meeting. The racing city will cover an area of over 70 million square feet and will include a 60,000 capacity grandstand, 10 restaurants, a hotel, and racing museum. The Dubai Racing Club and the Godolphin Gallery will also relocate here from their present home at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse.

The plans, by architects TAK, also include covered parking for 10,000 cars, a hotel, and a 4 km canal linking the development to the Dubai Creek.
