Aqua Dunya Theme Park

Situated at Dubailand and covering 8 million square feet, the Aqua Dunya is set to be the largest theme park in the Middle East when it opens in 2009.

The centrepiece of the resort will be the world’s largest cruise ship, The Desert Pearl. Inspired by an Arabian tale, the ship will be home to the 400-room Desert Pearl Hotel and various indoor attractions.

As for the rides, Aqua Dunya will feature 36 of them, both wet and dry. Other features on opening will include:

  • 300-room 5-star Polynesian Hotel
  • 400-room 4-star Arabian Port Hotel
  • 170 vacation apartments
  • 1,100 residential apartments
  • 1800-person capacity theatre
  • Conference centre

The resort will be managed by the Jumeirah Group, owners and operators of the Wild Wadi Water Park, the Burj Al Arab and other hotels in Dubai.
