The Dubai Fountain at the Burj Dubai Lake is 275 metres long, and boasts powerful nozzles that can shoot jets of water to heights of more than 150 metres.

Once fully operational, more than 6000 lights and 25 colour projectors will provide a breathtaking lighting show.

The Burj Dubai Lake lies at the centre of Emaar’s massive Downtown Burj Dubai project, surrounded by the Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar, Burj Dubai, and the Address hotel.

Standing at 818 metres high it is the tallest building in the world. It also holds the record for the tallest freestanding structure, and the building with the most floors (160).

The Burj Dubai is part of the larger Downtown Burj Dubai development. This also includes the Dubai Mall, various hotels (Address Downtown Burj Dubai, Address Dubai Mall, Palace, Al Manzil, and Qamardeen), and the Souk Al Bahar shopping mall.

The lower floors of the Burj Dubai will be home to the world’s first Armani Hotel.

The Burj Dubai itself is expected to be fully complete in September 2009.
