Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing carries out quality assessments of hotels to provide an indication of the standard of accommodation guests can expect to find.
4 star hotels provide an excellent standard throughout. Characteristics include:
- Bedrooms – Superior furnishings, mini-bar, luggage stand, and a telephone
- Restaurants – 2 or more dining facilities, room service (drinks and snacks available 24 hours), and one bar (provided hotel holds liquor license)
- Services – Air conditioning with individual control, 36-hour laundry service, room cleaned daily, babysitting, and airport transfers
Most of Dubai’s 4 star hotels are located in Bur Dubai, Deira or in the Trade Centre area.
None of the hotels listed below is on the beach and many are aimed at business travellers. Guest requiring direct beach access will need to stay at one of Dubai’s 5-star hotels.
