Hawthorn Hotel Deira

The Hawthorn Hotel is situated in Deira, close to Dubai International Airport and just a few minutes walk from the Hamarain Centre shopping mall.

It offers 133 rooms, including 21 suites. All come with high-speed internet connections, video-on-demand, 24-hour room service, a direct dial telephone line, air-conditioning, hair-dryer, in-room mini bar, safe deposit box and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel offers numerous dining options including the 24-hour Manhattan Restaurant and 49er's - The Gold Rush Steakhouse Club. Gravity/Al Jazibiah, an Arabic nightclub, features belly dancing, a live band and DJ’s.

The Hawthorn also boats a rooftop swimming pool and fitness room. Other services offered include babysitting, valet parking, and airport transfers.

I stayed here for a couple of days on my way to Australia and found the hotel to be excellent in every department. The room was beautiful and well furnished and the staff were extremely friendly and courteous. I would certainly stay here again.

I had a few minor problems when I stayed here which were quickly put right, but when you take into consideration the quality of the room and the price this was a minor inconvenience. They have free internet access which I made good use of and the food was quite reasonable for the cost. Taxis seem to be very good value in Dubai for some reason if you want to do some exploring.

Great place to stay if you don't have a lot of time to spend in Dubai, as you can make the most of it by being close to the airport.

This is an ideal stop-over hotel and provides a free airport shuttle, which is why we used it. It's also very convenient for the Deira shopping mall. The room was lovely and clean and had really nice bed linen. The lounge is a nice place to relax and they even had live music in the evening when I was there.

Good value for money and close to the airport which we found quite useful. Check-in at 2pm was a bit of a pain, but the room was absolutely fantastic. The food was great, especially the buffet lunch.

Stayed at this hotel in Feb 2007. Loved the area the hotel was in. Hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.
