Mina A’ Salam

The Mina A’ Salam was the first hotel to be completed at the ambitious Madinat Jumeirah resort. The unique, sand-coloured buildings are topped with wind towers and are built around a harbour. All 292 rooms and suites are larger than average and feature a private balcony with uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf.

Our trip started brilliantly with an upgrade to a room with an ocean view, probably because we had stayed there before. Also got a free bag of goodies. Later we were offered free ice lollies and fruit kebabs at the poolside. There are too many shops and restaurants to count which cater for every imaginable wish. The whole experience was just mind blowing.

Luckily we already knew that we wouldn't be able to check in till 2pm so we had put our swimwear in our hand luggage. This way we were able to shower and relax by the pool for a few hours before checking into our luxurious room. Depending on where you want to go there are buggies or little boats to ferry you around. The resort has its own little canal network. Tremendous place.

We spent a few days here in one of the suites and it was just totally unbelievable, so spacious, stylish and clean. The service was also magnificent, whether it be the housekeeping staff, room service, or in any of the bars or restaurants. One great advantage is that you also get into Wild Wadi for free. Superb!

Must be one of the best resorts on the planet. I couldn't find one single fault.

It wouldn't be easy to find a better hotel and facilities than this. Our room was enormous and contained an amazing array of top class complimentary items eg walnut body scrub. Where else would you get that? You can even make real coffee in the room with the cafetiere. Spectacular view as well.

I cannot find one single fault with this hotel. The service was absolutely out of this world, the beach fantastic and the rooms extremely spacious.
