Suitably qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Duties include:

• Design calculations and documentation
• Ensure drawing content portrays the suitable information and design intent
• Prepare EPCM and capital estimates
• Prepare installation specifications
• Provide construction support
• Commissioning of systems and equipment
• Maintaining and developing engineering standards
• Compilation of maintenance manuals
• A broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and of principles and practices of related technical areas
• Implementing major and minor capital works projects

Requirements:

• A recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• 7 to 10 years minimum of project coordination experience either engineering contracting
• consultancy organisations in the mining or manufacturing industry or brown field plant experience
• Current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to the mechanical engineering discipline
• Project management experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Planning, organizational and supervisory skills
• Displays initiative and enthusiasm in continuous improvement
• Computer literate
• Enthusiasm, confidence and determination
• Sound knowledge of Australian and ISO codes and standards
• Excellent safety awareness
• CPEng eligible
