Statement of Function

The role of the Mechanical Engineer is to provide and utilize his knowledge, experience, technical and organization skills to carry out the entire site Mechanical Works such as HVAC (Chilled water and Duct Work System), Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting and Irrigation and reporting to the Management on daily basis.

Responsibilities

• To be fully aware of contract documents (drawings and specifications)
• Prepare Mechanical shop drawings, and material submittals, and ensure their compliance with specifications and contract documents
• Ability in designing of piping system, A / C Ducting and HVAC cooling capacity according to ASME and ASHRAE standards
• Ensure the coordination of Mechanical scope of work with the rest of the trades. and preparation of program of works
• Check Mechanical sub-contractor(if any) execution of work on site, and ensure of its adherence to contract documents
• Assist in clarifying Mechanical scope of work issues among, sub-contractor(s), client representative(s) and Project Management
• Collaborate in preparing project studies; daily, weekly & monthly reports; forecast, method statements and other special engineering reports, as requested
• Ability of managing a team of employees such HVAC technicians and plumbers and junior mechanical engineers. Prepares daily and weekly meetings with the staff
• Perform any other duty (related to the nature of the job) to be assigned by the Project Engineering Manager
• Costing the tenders and change orders and Variations
• Maintain the implementation of Safety Plan, Inspection & Test Plan and Q.C. Plan
•Ability of performing a professional Testing and Commissioning procedures for all the Mechanical Works and submitting all related paper works
•Prepare of as-built drawings, maintenance and operation manuals. and handing over the project to client

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years of experience in Building construction field
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
