IT Jobs in Dubai

In 2000 the Government of Dubai established Dubai Internet City (DIC), an information technology park close to the Palm Jumeirah. DIC is a free zone and companies based there are not subject to taxation and can operate with 100% foreign ownership. Consequently it has become an extremely desirable destination for IT companies seeking to establish a base in the Middle East.

The attractive business environment has attracted almost 1,000 IT companies to DIC, including global heavyweights such as Cisco Systems, Oracle, IBM, Sun, Symantec, and Microsoft. With a workforce of around 15,000, there are plenty of job opportunities for qualified IT professionals at Dubai Internet City.

Not all IT jobs are based at DIC. Dubai Silicon Oasis launched in 2002 and is a technology park that aims to become one of the world’s leading centres for electronic innovation, design, and development; the Middle East’s equivalent of California’s Silicon Valley.

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is well on its way to becoming a major onshore financial centre. The banks, insurance and finance companies based here are all heavily dependent on information technology and are constantly seeking suitably qualified IT staff.

Dubai Online recruits on behalf of many of the IT companies based at DIC, Silicon Oasis, and the DIFC. All IT professionals with a recognised IT qualification and several years’ relevant work experience should register using the form below.

The service is free for candidates.
