Al Barsha
Al Barsha is a community in west Dubai, close to the Palm Jumeirah and next to Al Sufouh. It is a convenient base for those working in the Knowledge Village or Media/Internet City.

Hotels include the Kempinski Hotel at the Mall of the Emirates and the Golden Tulip Al Barsha. Both are in Al Barsha 1.

Properties here are typically 3 – 5 bedroom villas, with some apartment buildings in Al Barsha 1 (near the Mall of the Emirates).
Shopping
The Mall of the Emirates is only shopping mall in the area. Here there’s a Carrefour hypermarket, Debenhams and Harvey Nichols department stores, plus over 450 other shops. A Lulu Hypermarket is next door.
Restaurants & Bars
There are over 75 restaurants and cafes at the Mall of the Emirates and the adjoining Kempinski Hotel. In addition to the standard food court affairs (McDonalds, Burger King, KFC etc.) the mall also has some fairly decent eateries.
Sezzam, Après, and Salmonti all overlook the slopes of Ski Dubai but offer distinct experiences. Salmonti specialises in Scottish salmon and seafood dishes while Après resembles a ski lodge and offers a well-stocked bar, lounge and European restaurant. Sezzam is a large restaurant with 3 open kitchens, Bake, Flame and Steam, each focusing on different cooking methods. Sezzam also offers children’s menus and entertainment and is a popular with families.
Almaz by Momo is a fantastically designed restaurant offering excellent Moroccan cuisine. It’s tucked away inside Harvey Nichols, incidentally their largest store outside the UK.
Attractions & Entertainment
Most entertainment options in Al Barsha are found at the Mall of the Emirates. Here you’ll find Ski Dubai, the CineStar cinema, the Magic Planet amusement centre (10 pin bowling, arcade, rides etc.), and the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (theatre, art gallery, library).
Schools
Schools in Al Barsha include the Dubai American Academy and Al Mawakeb School.
