Al Qusais, Al Twar and Al Nahda

Al Qusais is a suburb on the edge of Dubai, between Dubai International Airport and the border with Sharjah.

Hotels

Despite its proximity to the airport, Al Qusais has just a handful of hotels. Choices include the Time Grand Plaza Hotel and the apartments at the Al Bustan Centre & Residence. Both are popular with flight crews.

Real Estate

Residential properties in Al Qusais are mainly apartments. Rents and prices are relatively cheap.

Shopping

The area boasts a decent number of supermarkets (Lulu, Union Co-Op, and Spinneys) and a mall (Al Bustan Centre).

Restaurants

Al Qusais doesn’t offer any renowned restaurants. There’s a food court at Al Bustan but for anything more sophisticated you’ll have to travel.

Attractions & Entertainment

Fantasy Kingdom at Al Bustan will appeal to children, but there’s little else in the area.

Schools

Schools here include the Sheffield Private School and the Star International School. Both follow the National Curriculum for England.

Transport

The Dubai Metro’s Green Line runs along Al Nahda Road and offers a direct connection to Deira and Bur Dubai.

Passengers can transfer to the Red Line at Union Metro Station to reach destinations such as the Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai Marina.
