Shopping
The Mazaya Centre shopping mall boasts a Spinneys supermarket and a Homes R Us furniture store. Just down the road is a Safestway supermarket. There’s a wealth of shops and malls in adjacent areas such as Jumeirah (Town Centre Jumeirah, Mercato, Union Co-Op, Choithram etc.) and Al Safa (Park n Shop, Spinneys) and Downtown Burj Dubai (Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar).
Restaurants
There’s a great selection of restaurants and bars at the Souk Al Bahar in neighbouring Downtown Burj Dubai.
Attractions & Entertainment
Safa Park is an urban park and one of Dubai’s most pleasant open spaces. It offers tennis and volleyball courts, a Ferris wheel and several other children’s rides, boating lake, perimeter running track, barbeque areas, bike rentals, and pavilion with video games.
Schools
Schools in Al Wasl include the Horizon English School and the Dubai Japanese School. There are also several in Al Safa.
