Discovery Gardens

Following the success of their adjacent Gardens development, Nakheel launched the Discovery Gardens in 2004. This residential apartment project consists of six themed communities covering a 26 million square foot plot. Handover of the apartments began at the start of 2008.

Hotels

Serviced apartment hotels within Discovery Gardens itself include Chelsea Gardens Hotel Apartments and the Japanese-owned ZiQoo Hotel Apartment. Both are located in the Zen area, at the northern end of the development and close to Sheikh Zayed Road.

Hotels just outside the area include the 5-star Movenpick Ibn Battuta Hotel and the 3-star Premier Inn at Dubai Investments Park.

Real Estate – Apartments

291 low-rise buildings house more than 26,000 studio and 1 bedroom apartments in six themed communities (Zen, Mediterranean, Contemporary, Cactus, Mogul, and Mesoamerican). The area is one of the most affordable places to live in the city.

Shopping

There are numerous small community supermarkets and stores in the development itself. The nearby Ibn Battuta Mall offers over 200 shops including a Geant hypermarket and a Debenhams department store.

Attractions & Entertainment

The Discovery Gardens boasts a number of community swimming pools, cycling and jogging trails, plus sports courts.

The Ibn Battuta Mall offers a multiplex cinema, tenpin bowling alley, and children’s entertainment centre.

Schools

Local schools include the Winchester School and Jebel Ali Primary School.

Transport

The Ibn Battuta Metro Station is less than a mile from the northern end of Discovery Gardens. The F43 feeder bus departs from the station and serves all areas of the development.
