Dubai Festival City

Dubai Festival City is a self-contained, mixed-use development by the Al Futtain Group. It is located to the east of the Dubai Creek, giving easy access to Dubai International Airport and Deira. Many elements such as the Festival Waterfront Centre and some of the hotels have already been completed.

Hotels

The 5-star InterContinental Dubai Festival City opened at the end of 2007 and the Crowne Plaza at the start of 2008. Hotels under development include the W Dubai and the Four Seasons, both opening in 2010.

Real Estate

On completion Dubai Festival City is expected to accommodate 50,000 residents in 20,000 homes and apartments. Residential developments include:

  • Marsa Plaza – InterContinental Residence Suites
  • Al Badia Residences – Mediterranean townhouses and apartments, overlooking the Four Seasons Golf Club
  • Al Badia Hillside Village

Shopping

There are 3 main shopping areas at Dubai Festival City. Together they span an incredible 2.1 million square feet of retail space.

  • Festival Waterfront Centre - The Festival Waterfront Centre opened with a limited number of shops in March 2007 and has been expanding to its final capacity of 600 stores ever since. Flagship shops include Marks & Spencer, Paris Gallery, Esprit, Sun & Sand Sports, Markati Palazzo, Vero Moda, New Yorker, Toys R Us and Nike.
  • Festival Power Centre - The Festival Power Centre is a shopping mall exclusively geared towards household products. Stores include the largest IKEA in the UAE, Ace Hardware, Hyperpanda Hypermarket, and Plug-Ins Electronix.
  • Dubai Gold Market Place - This 25,000 square foot market connects the Festival Waterfront Centre to the Festival Power Centre and features over 60 gold retailers.

Restaurants

Canal Walk at the Festival Waterfront Centre offers waterside al fresco dining. 40 restaurants and cafes line a 450 metre canal.

Attractions & Entertainment

The Skywalk Entertainment Level at the Festival Waterfront Centre features a 12-screen cinema, a Fitness First health club, and bowling alley.

The Four Seasons Golf Club is a 7,250 par 72 golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II.

Schools

Dubai Festival City is home to 2 schools; the Universal American School and the Deira International School.
