Aside from Dubai Duty Free at the airport, there are no major malls or shopping centres in Garhoud. Shopping malls in neighbouring areas include Deira City Centre and the Festival Centre.

There’s also a good selection of restaurants at the Century Village at the Aviation Club.

Attractions & Entertainment

The Irish Village at the Aviation Club is a popular expat pub offering live music nightly. The Dubai Tennis Stadium is also here and hosts the Dubai Tennis Championships and the occasional concert.

The Festival Centre at Dubai Festival City features a cinema and bowling alley. There’s also a cinema at Deira City Centre.

Golf courses in the vicinity are the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and the Al Badia Golf Club.

Schools

The Cambridge International School offers primary and secondary education and follows the National Curriculum for England. There are also schools at Dubai Festival City.
