Dubai’s first easyHotel to open in 2008

Stelios, owner of the easyGroup, broke the ground this week at the site of Dubai’s first easyHotel. Situated in the Karama district of the city, it is expected to open in the first half of 2008 and will be the first of six budget hotels in Dubai planned by the group.

The hotel will be prefabricated with individual room units stacked on top of each other and connected by preassembled corridor and lift units. Each of the 200 bedrooms will contain a bed, high pressure shower unit, a work cubicle, and an activity wall with flat screen TV and broadband internet.
