Great Dubai Wheel Gets the Green Light
October 3rd, 2006The Dubai Municipality has given planning permission to the Great Dubai Wheel, one of the major attractions at Dubailand. The 185m wheel will be taller than the London Eye and will cost over AED 250 million. Visitors will be able to view distances up to 50 km from the comfort of one of 30 capsules. The Great Dubai Wheel will be built and managed by the Great Wheel Corporation. Construction is expected to begin shortly, with the attraction welcoming its first guests in 2009.
