Minimum speed limit introduced
April 8th, 2007Dubai is introducing a minimum speed limit on its major roads to help reduce the number of accidents. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority believe that differences in speeds between vehicles are a major cause of crashes. The 60 km per hour limit will apply on Sheikh Zayed Road, Ras Al Khor Road, Al Khail Road, Emirates Road, Al Ittihad Road, Dubai Outer Bypass Road, Dubai-Hatta Road and Dubai-Al Ain Road.

I think they should make the minimum speed 80kmph if the road speed is 120kmph, but the signs are already there so i guess its too late..
