New Ferry Service Announced

The Roads and Transport Authority has announced plans for a ferry service along the Dubai Creek. The new service will initially link the Gold Souk and Deira City Centre, but will later be extended to Dubai Festival City and Business Bay. Construction of the terminals will commence in 2007 and is expected to be complete by 2008. Plans for a coastal service linking Deira, the Palm Deira, the World and the Palm Jumeirah are also in the pipeline.
