The Premier Inn Dubai Silicon Oasis has opened for business.

The UK budget hotel group opened their first hotel at Dubai Investment Park in April 2008.

The group plans to open another hotel near Dubai International Airport later this year.

Premier Inn cuts room rates

The Premier Inn at Dubai Investment Park has slashed its room rate in response to market trends.

The budget hotel has reduced daily rates from AED 495 to AED 350 until the end of September 2009.

The move is a response to a recent reduction in rates by 4-star and 5-star hotels in the city, brought about by a reduction in demand for rooms.

Premier Inn Middle East is a joint venture between Emirates and UK-based company Whitbread. The Premier Inn Dubai Investment Park opened early last year and is their first property in the city. The Premier Inn at Dubai Silicon Oasis is set to open in May.

UK hotel group Premier Inn have opened their first hotel in Dubai. Situated just north of the Green Community in Dubai Investment Park, it offers 308 en-suite rooms at a fixed price of Dhs 450 per room per night.

Premier Inn is owned by Whitbread, and currently operates 500 hotels with 36,000 rooms across the UK and Ireland. The company is currently building further hotels in Dubai Silicon Oasis and Garhoud.
