Dubailand

Dubailand is the Middle East’s answer to Disney World. However, like most things in Dubai it will be bigger than its rival; twice as big in fact. It will be built in 4 stages, with the final stage being completed around 2020. Some parts of this mega project are already complete.

Dubailand will be divided into themed zones, known as ‘Worlds’:

Attractions and Experience World

This area will cover over 5 square miles and various attractions and theme parks including Aqua Dunya, the Marvel Theme Park, Six Flags, DreamWorks Theme Park, the Falcon City of Wonders, the Snowdome, Universal City and the Great Dubai Wheel.

Downtown, Retail and Entertainment World

This will be a mixed-use destination offering a variety of dining, entertainment and retail establishments. The centrepiece of this area will be the 6.5 million square foot Mall of Arabia at the City of Arabia. The Restless Planet theme park will also be found here.

Eco-Tourism World

This eco-friendly mixed-use development will cover almost 30 square miles and include a number of nature and desert-based attractions.

Themed Leisure and Vacation World

This area will offer numerous themed luxury hotels and spas.

Sports and Outdoor World

Dedicated to sports, projects here include the F1 Theme Park, Dubai Autodrome (completed), Dubai Sports City and Golf City .

Dubailand will also be home to the Bawadi project.
