MMI

MMI (Maritime & Mercantile International) are a licensed liquor store chain in Dubai. The company was founded 1862 in Iraq as Gray Mackenzie & Co and 1891 was appointed licensed shipping agents to Dubai. In 1982 the company changed its name to MMI and in 2000 became a subsidiary of the Emirates Group. Today its stores stock a wide range of spirits, wines, and beers, and can also process applications for alcohol licences.

Locations in Dubai include Al Wasl Road in Al Safa (Spinneys), Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road in Bur Dubai (next to Spinneys and near the BurJuman), Al Maktoum Road in Deira (DNATA Building near the Clock Tower), Sheikh Zayed Road in Trade Centre (Saeed Tower 2, next to the Four Points by Sheraton and opposite Jumeirah Emirates Towers), the Ibn Battuta Mall (Andalusia Court), the Mall of the Emirates in Al Barsha (ground floor car park), the Green Community at Dubai Investment Park (next to the Choithram supermarket), Dubai Silicon Oasis (next to Spinneys), the Festival Centre at Dubai Festival City (near HyperPanda and Ikea), and Uptown MotorCity in Dubai MotorCity (next to Spinneys).

Maritime & Mercantile International also operate two Cellar Saver stores which carry fewer wines and more spirits from the sub-continent. They are situated on Sheikh Rashid Road in Karama (Al Maskan Building, next to the LuLu Hypermarket), and on Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road in Bur Dubai (opposite the Seashell Inn Hotel).
