The Aviation Club opened its doors in 1991 and is now one of the top sports and leisure clubs in Dubai. Situated in Garhoud, between the Creek and Dubai International Airport, it offers a wide range of entertainment and leisure facilities.
This Irish Village is one of the most popular expat pubs in Dubai. It offers pub grub plus beers such as Guinness and Kilkenny. There’s a large outdoor seating area and live music nightly.
The Dubai Tennis Stadium is also here and is best known as the venue for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. The stadium also occasionally hosts concerts. Acts appearing here have included Culture Club, Sting, Bollywood singer Shaan, and Charice.
Century Village is a restaurant complex just south of the Dubai Tennis Stadium. There are 10 restaurants here, offering a variety of cuisines from around the world.
The Jumeirah Creekside Hotel was one of the most recent additions to the development. The 5 star hotel opened in the summer of 2012 and offers almost 300 rooms and suites.
The Aviation Club also boasts extensive sports facilities. There are outdoor tennis courts, a swimming pool, 2 championship squash courts, 2 aerobics studios, a gymnasium, and saunas and plunge pools. Day passes are available for non-members.
