Dubai Silicon Oasis
Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) is a technology park currently under development that aims to become the Dubai’s equivalent of Silicon Valley. Although much of the 7.2 square kilometre project is commercial, it has significant residential and retail components.
Hotels
In 2007 UK-based budget hotel group Premier Inn announced plans to open a hotel at DSO.
Real Estate - Villas and Apartments
The residential element of Dubai Silicon Oasis includes both villas and apartments. Projects here include:
- Silicon Gates – Complex with 736 apartments (studio, 1-3 bedrooms), 2 swimming pools, health club, squash courts, shopping arcade and more. Silicon Gates is located at the entrance to DSO. Completion expected late 2008.
- La Vista Residence – 7 towers with 832 apartments (studio, 1-3 bedrooms). Completion expected 2009.
- Emirates staff villas - completed.
Shopping
Retail outlets currently open include a Spinneys supermarket and an MMI liquor store.
