The Jebel Ali Recreation Club opened in the late 1970s and is one of the oldest social clubs in Dubai.
It is located in Jebel Ali Village, a community established to house expatriate staff involved in the construction of Jebel Ali Port.
In 2017, a massive redevelopment project was completed. The new club reopened with several new restaurants and a pub.
The following year saw the opening of Reel Cinemas Jebel Ali Recreation Club.
The 5-screen dine-in cinema is a partnership between Reel Cinemas and celebrity chef Guy Fieri. The American celebrity chef is best known for his show on the Food Network; Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
Moviegoers can dine while watching a film. The menu includes dishes such as New York strip steak, brisket, gourmet burgers, salmon, and lobster.
The cinema was the first in Dubai and the UAE licensed to serve alcohol.
Reel Cinemas Jebel Ali Recreation Club is located in Jebel Ali Village, to the west of The Gardens and the Ibn Battuta Mall. The car park offers plenty of free spaces for customers.
There’s no Metro station within easy walking distance of the cinema. The closest, Ibn Battuta, is just over a mile away.
