Lamcy Plaza is a mid-sized shopping mall in the Oud Metha area of Dubai. Its five floors offer over 150 stores, a small cinema, food court, and family entertainment centre. Stores cater primarily to the local population and offer goods at reasonable prices.
Large stores at Lamcy Plaza include Paris Gallery, Bhs (UK department store), Matalan, Shoe Mart (affordable shoes), DOT (electronics), Daiso, Style Studio (fashion), and the Al Maya Hypermarket.
Daiso is Japan’s leading discount store. In 2004 the company opened its first store in Dubai at the Lamcy Plaza. The 10,000 square foot store on the third floor of the mall offers tens of thousands of products, most of which cost just a handful of dirhams. A diverse product range includes toys, gifts, stationery, cosmetics, pet care products, seasonal products, ornaments, and much more.
Matalan is another department store offering reasonably priced goods. In 2010 the UK based retailer opened their second Dubai store here (the first was at the Arabian Center mall). Occupying around half of the second floor it offers ladies and men’s fashion, children’s clothes, lingerie, footwear, and accessories.
Paris Gallery is one of the best known luxury goods retailers in Dubai. Its ground floor store offers a massive selection of perfumes, beauty products, watches, and accessories from all the top brands.
Other shops include G2000 (fashion), Guess, Quiz, Nayomi (lingerie), La Senza (lingerie), Damas (jewellery), Hour Choice (watches), Citizen (watches), Nine West (shoes, bags, and accessories), Accessorize, Aldo (footwear for men and women), Jadorekidz (fashion for boys and girls), and Bossini (casualwear for the whole family).
The vast majority of places to eat and drink at Lamcy Plaza are found in the ground floor food court. Options include New York Fries, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Mongolian Barbeque, McDonalds, Curry Express, Hardee’s, KFC, Bombay Chowpatty, and Cold Stone Creamery.
Lamcy Plaza is open 7 days a week. Standard shop opening times are Sunday to Wednesday 10 am to 10.30 pm, and Thursday to Saturday 10 am to midnight. Opening hours for the food court are Sunday to Wednesday 10 am to midnight, and Thursday to Saturday 10 am to 12.30 am.
Most facilities and services at the mall are located on the ground floor. They include ATMs, a currency exchange, an Etisalat bill payment machine, a flower shop, pharmacy, photo shop, travel and tour agents, plus driving schools. Minutes offers a wide range of products and services such as shoe and watch repairs, engraving, business card printing, and key cutting. Art and Picture Framing offer a picture framing service and also sell gifts.

The other leisure option at the mall is Fun City, a family entertainment centre with video games, rides, and children’s play and activity areas. It’s also located on the ground floor of the mall.
Lamcy Plaza is situated just off Sheikh Rashid Road in Oud Metha, between Zabeel Park and Al Nasr Leisureland. There is a large car park just behind the mall. The nearest Metro stations are Oud Metha and Dubai Healthcare City, both on the Green Line and around 1 mile walk from the mall.
Hotels and places to stay near Lamcy Plaza include the Al Waleed Palace Hotel Apartments and the Movenpick Hotel and Apartments Bur Dubai. Both are within easy walking distance of the mall.
