The Dubai English Speaking School is a private primary school in Umm Hurair that offers education for children aged 4 to 11. It follows the English National Curriculum.
The school was founded in 1963 in the upstairs room of a villa but from these humble beginnings has expanded to establish itself as one of the top primary schools in Dubai. Over 800 children, mainly British, are now educated here.
The school is situated in Umm Hurair, just east of the Dubai Creek, and close to Dubai Healthcare City and Wafi City.
In 2006, management opened a secondary school, Dubai English Speaking College, in Dubai Academic City. Students at Dubai English Speaking School enjoy automatic entry.
